I originally gave this a bad review- the light blinks regularly on a cycle and I used 2 batteries in just the first week. But those batteries must have been bad. The batteries do buckle when you put them in and you really have to work with them in order to get them to stay in. The ring that holds the bag is a little difficult to work with. Once you get the bag in the can, it creates a bubble at the bottom and the ring falls in when you try to work with it. However it’s small which I love and holds a surprising large amount of trash. It fits nicely by the toilet. It’s fairly quiet at night and best of all it does keep the dog out of the trash.

This is a great small trashcan. You do need to put batteries in it and you’ll want to replace them overtime but my batteries last in a long time in this.It’s a smaller trashcan so it’s great for an office or a small space.I’ve had people actually impressed with that because it is very responsive and easy to use.I do highly recommend it and it’s definitely a great price.I hope this review is helpful.

I was on the fence too! Why would I spend $40 on a waste bin that lives in between my toilet and dollar store plunger?? Decided to treat myself and I couldn’t be more jazzed about the upgrade! Easy to set up… motion detector on point… tossing bathroom trash has never felt more elegant! The only down side: I now feel a burning desire to ditch my dinosaur of a kitchen bin and swap it out for motion sensor.

I needed replacement trash cans for my bathrooms and was pleased to find these compact units available on Amazon. My bathrooms are also compact, which means the ELPHECO units are located near the toilet paper dispensers. Whenever guests reach for toilet paper, they inevitably trigger the motion sensor on the nearby trash can and are surprised when the lid opens. We always have a good laugh afterwards. Seriously, though, the trash cans are the perfect size for bathroom use. I prefer my trash cans to be covered, and it’s nice not to have to open the lid by hand.

It looks great in the gray color and has at least two terrific features: (1) the lid opens and closes using motion detection (no touching!), and (2) the bag is held down by a removable collar that’s beneath the level of the lid, so there are no unsightly bag edges sticking out. The only “negative” is that my dog has been surprised by the lid opening when he leans over it. But I think he’s learning to leave it alone.

Overall it is a great little trash can for the bathroom. Nice design and the motion activation has a short range. This is actually nice so it doesn’t open every time you walk by it or sit next to it on the toilet. Wave your hand over the sensor and it snaps open. Also has a manual open/close button. Now for the packaging. The box is a normal box but it was shipped without any protective box or bag. It arrived from 3 states over with a beat up box not even taped or securely closed. In fact it looked like the box may have opened and the top of the can had fallen out. It has a couple nicks and scrapes as if it fell on the ground. Not a huge deal since it is a trash can after all. But it is a 40 dollar trash can so it should at least arrive undamaged. Anyway just my experience. Hope yours is better.

It might seem crazy, but I am thrilled with this little trashcan. The line of it somehow just blends into the room. More importantly, the sensor has been working perfectly. You can hold the item over it and it will open, so if your hand is dirty or sticky, it never touches anything. And you don’t even need a free hand for the sensor to work. It feels more sanitary. I got the white which has a light gray lid. I had previously had a cute little round white trashcan with the foot pedal. It was nice but held about half of what this new one holds. And I didn’t like putting my bare foot on the pedal. The Elpheco trash can is exactly as advertised and arrived in perfect condition.

This is one of the things we really don’t need but got to have it. Nice and low key . Bag can be annoying to replace but overall we like it. Put one in the guest bath and people think is so high tech and fancy. LOL

We use these in all 3 of our bathrooms!! Love them! Only shortcoming is that the batteries don’t last as long as I wished they did, but that’s the awful batteries that are produced. Love the 🗑 size and style. They are small but are perfect for the smaller spaces in a bathroom.

I bought this for my bathroom. It works great and is slim enough to fit between the toilet and the wall. The motion sensor can be sensitive but otherwise works as expected. I would buy another.
